The Innocent Hound is a Yorkshire based healthy pet food and treat company that was founded in 2013 by a passionate dog lover, Chloe Heaton.

Quite simply, it all began with four hairy legs belonging to a not very Innocent Hound.  Bongo was The Innocent Hound's beloved lurcher and the inspiration behind the business. At the time, Chloe found that dog treats on the market contained poor quality ingredients and lacked nutrition.

Inspired by her love for dogs and a passion for providing them with the best nutrition, Chloe created a line of natural, healthy, and tasty pet treats, made with only the finest ingredients - and so the Innocent Hound was born!

To ensure that every ingredient used is of the highest quality, The Innocent Hound carefully sources all the ingredients from ethical and sustainable suppliers, with the meat coming from farms in the UK that have achieved at least Red Tractor accreditation. They also ensure that the production process is transparent and that everything is made in-house to maintain the quality and freshness of the products.

The Innocent Hound range started with the classic air-dried venison sausages, and sliced venison treats.  Over the years more flavours have been added, as well as their Fine Health range which supports dental, joints as well as skin and coat.  They also now produce an air-dried complete food and dog toys and accessories.

All of the food and treats are grain free, making them perfect for dogs with food sensitivities. Moreover, the treats are made using only premium-quality, single protein meats such as venison, duck, and salmon, combined with fruits, vegetables, and herbs to provide a balanced and healthy diet for your furry friend.

2023 sees The Innocent Hound celebrating a decade in business, where it has grown from a humble start-up to a renowned manufacturer in the pet food industry in the UK and Europe.
